Elizabeth Duggan Litch has stitched since childhood. Trained in embroidery, she has shown extensively since 1985 and has completed many commissions for public spaces. A founding member of the Ontario Network of Needle-workers, Threadworks and Connections, Elizabeth is frequently asked to jury shows, lecture and give workshops in embroidery, banner-making, dyeing and painting on fabric and threads.
"Whether it's a commission for a church or home, or a piece for a Connections show, I enjoy the challenge of considering the space in which the work will hang, designing it, selecting the "ingredients", and most of all, the construction. I often paint or dye my fabrics and threads, but delight in combining those with others that I have found."
